The Tale-
Father Drake is not just any priest. He's a martial arts master/demon slayer. Plagued by nightmares, Father Drake along with Sister Jordan, a scantily clad, and often topless ninja/nun fight their way through Hades in an attempt to bring justice and restore order to the world.

Burying the dead-
So, I’ve been slacking on this one. This DVD has been collecting dust on my shelf for the past month now. For some reason I was never really motivated to watch it. I don’t know why. The plot sounds like something I’d be into. I think I’ve just been so not interested in checking out anything new. Regardless I’m kind of pissed at myself for waiting so long, cause this movie was pretty damn good. Way better than most of the crap I’ve been watching instead. Sinners and Saints is full of gore, violence, breasts, kung fu, decapitations, dismemberments, castrations...you name it, it’s probably in this movie.

Now first off, this movie might be too out there for most of you. It reminded me of a cross between a JR Bookwalter film and the Asian film Versus, both of which I’m a fan of, so this was right up my alley. But, this movie is definitely from a different dimension. A lot of the violence is way over the top, almost Tromaish in some ways, which can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you’re into. I for one enjoyed it, so if you’re like me and you want to see something a little crazy check this out. I would highly recommend stocking up on your drug of choice before you watch this as I feel this was made with heads in mind.

One of the main things I liked about this was the flow. The cuts are quick and well executed and this movie does a great job of holding your attention. There aren’t many pauses in action or storyline in this film which is great if you have an attention span like mine. This isn’t a quality found often in independent horror films nowadays as I’ve seen so many films lately that have no direction. Sinners and Saint is definitely an exception and you can tell that a lot of hard work and planning went into this to get it just right. Plus the fight scenes are highly choreographed and pretty damn realistic. You can tell the actors here are pretty well trained in their martial arts skills.

The humor on this is pretty tongue in cheek and you can tell that this film isn’t taking itself too seriously which works with a lot of the action being reminiscent of an f’d up Jackie Chan film. Some of the makeup was a little too ridiculous for me though, but that might’ve been the point as it wasn’t too out of place in this film. Sinners and Saints kind of has that anything goes atmosphere where you’re not sure how far the movie’s going to go until you get there. I for one wasn’t disappointed.

I was a little lost in some of the scenes as some of it goes way into the world of the weird, especially the scenes where the characters literally go to hell, but maybe I just wasn’t on the right drugs to appreciate the trippiness of some of the costumes and visuals. I definitely feel the death metal soundtrack was a real nice addition to the carnage and drew me back in everytime I was lost.

All in all, I enjoyed this film. If you want to see something a little different, a little deranged perhaps then I would suggest tracking this down.

Nail in the Coffin-
All in all, I enjoyed this film. If you want to see something a little different, a little deranged perhaps then I would suggest tracking this down. This has everything from topless nuns, to masterbating demons, as well as tons of kung fu and gore. If you're interested in checking this out go to www.sinnersandsaints.org I would definitely recommend this.
