Sinners and Saints Review 2005

Screened during Rue Morgue's Festival of Fear in Toronto, this no-budget independant horror film really surprized me. The beautiful director and cast were on hand to present this screening- did i mention a lot of beautiful people made this film (hot people). Many no-budget horror flicks rely on cliche or gimmick to compensate for the fact that they have no money, but this film really competes with a lot of the regular-budget horror flicks out of the traditional system. The camerawork and action sequences are really ambitious, and aside from a few problems with the supporting cast the acting is fairly solid. Ambition doesn't get 5 out of 5 stars, however, and the overall execution of this film isn't on par with great works- but for the money this is an excellent product and the cast and crew should be very proud with what they have accomplished.
